Community Consultation

As Australia embraces renewable energy generation, Vestas is committed to working respectfully alongside the communities in which it operates.

Vestas intends to develop, build and operate the proposed wind farm, which means we want to be part of the community now and for the next generation.

The Harvest Wind Farm team will be engaging with landholders within the project footprint and neighbours, the Goondiwindi Regional Council, the local community and local business, and the Traditional Owners.

Our goal is to build long-term relationships with the local community and all project stakeholders. This happens through effective two-way engagement which allows us to understand local insights and work together to address any concerns.

We will be providing Project updates, which can be subscribed to using the form at the end of this page. Please contact us any time to discuss the project. We will also provide notice of upcoming community information sessions on this website, which will occur as the project progresses through development.

Finally, you can use the link below to complete a feedback form.

Your feedback will help us understand local sentiment and assist in planning the project.

Benefits

Harvest Wind Farm will deliver significant benefits to the local region and its communities, including:

Increased economic stimulus through continued investment into the Goondiwindi community over the life of the project.

Supporting the community through benefit-sharing and initiatives.

Up to 300 jobs created during construction, and around 16 long-term service jobs created during project operation to be based in the local area.

The Harvest Wind Farm team is committed to contributing positively to the local community. As we move through the early stages of development, our current budget for community initiatives is limited. We are focusing on supporting community-driven projects to deliver long-term social, environmental, and economic benefits to the most likely impacted communities.

We appreciate your engagement as we work closely with communities to ensure the benefits of this project are meaningful and lasting.
